Past DERA Awarded Projects

2008-2011 DERA State Grant was awarded to school systems to retrofit school buses with diesel particulate filters (DPFs) or diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). The following school systems received funding from this grant:

  • Burke County Schools (13 DPFs)
  • Banks County Schools (16 DPFs,1 DOC)
  • Richmond County Schools (14 DPFs)
  • Jackson County Schools (30 DPFs)
  • Houston County Schools (14 DPFs, 19 DOCs)
  • Gordon County Schools (1 DPF, 56 DOCs)
  • Pickens County Schools (2 DPFs, 21 DOCs)
  • Jeff Davis County Schools (10 DPFs)
  • Dooly County Schools (10 DPFs)

2012-2013 DERA State Grant was awarded to school systems to replace school buses early. The following school systems received funding from this grant:

  • Burke County Schools (5 buses)
  • Madison County Schools (2 buses)
  • Muscogee County Schools (3 buses)

2014-2016 DERA State Grant was awarded to the following school systems to replace school buses early:

  • Baker County Schools (3 buses)
  • Calhoun City Schools (1 bus)
  • Madison County Schools (4 buses)
  • Marietta City Schools (9 buses)
  • Paulding County Schools (5 buses)
  • Terrell County Schools (1 bus)
  • Echols County Schools (1 bus)
  • Chattooga County Schools (6 buses)
  • Fulton County Schools (43 buses)

2017 DERA State Grant was awarded to the following schools systems to replace school buses early:

  • Paulding County Schools (20 buses)
  • Fulton County Schools (12 buses)
