Public Announcement: Eagle Point Landfill Site Suitability
The Solid Waste Management Program of the Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has completed its review of the site assessment report submitted for the proposed expansion of the Eagle Point Landfill. Based on the data submitted, EPD has determined that the applicable siting standards have been met. Issuance of the Site Suitability Notice does not constitute a permit for the proposed expansion.
A design and operational plan (D&O plan) must be submitted for consideration by EPD. After our review and evaluation of the D&O Plan, a recommendation on issuance of a solid waste handling permit will be given to the EPD director. The Solid Waste Management Program has also provided a response to comments and questions that had been submitted for this application.
