Recycling and Waste Diversion Grant Cycle FY23
2022-2023 Grant Cycle
The Recycling and Waste Diversion (RWD) Grant was announced in July 2022 with a $2 million budget. Applications were accepted between August 1, 2022, and September 30, 2022.
A total of 42 applications were received amounting to $14,765,239 in grant award requests. Each application was reviewed and scored based on overall project purpose and need, community investment, implementation plan, metrics for waste reduction, and cost effectiveness. Fifteen projects were initially selected for award; however, additional funding ($1 million) became available, resulting in six additional awards from the first application cycle.
