RRP Information: Homeowners
Before you hire a contractor to perform renovation, repair, or painting activities in your pre-1978 home, make sure they have their RRP Certifications as required under federal and Georgia law. These certifications give you peace of mind that your contractor is properly trained to safely mitigate lead-based paint hazards that may arise during RRP activities. If you live in a rented pre-1978 home, your landlord/ property management company is also required to hire certified contractors. Click here for a list of Georgia Certified RRP Firms.
