High Hazard Potential Dams
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) Safe Dams Program received awards from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the rehabilitation of certain High Hazard Potential Dams (HHPD). From those awards, EPD will be accepting and reviewing applications for subawards through the administration of the Georgia HHPD Grant Program.
For the purposes of this grant program, rehabilitation means the repair, replacement, reconstruction, or removal of a dam that is carried out to meet state dam safety and security standards. EPD, in conjunction with FEMA, has identified eligible HHPDs for this program. The eligible dams identified for both award years of this grant program are shown in the following lists.
High Hazard Potential Dams 2022
High Hazard Potential Dams 2020
High Hazard Potential Dams 2019
