Georgia Climate Pollution Reduction Grant
As part of the Inflation Reduction Act, the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program made available $5 billion in grants to states and local governments to develop and implement plans to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other harmful air pollution. In April 2023, Georgia EPD submitted a Notice of Intent to Participate.

The CPRG program was made available to all 50 states, territories, tribal governments and 67 of the largest metropolitan statistical areas. The two-phased program includes:
Phase 1 Planning provided a total of $250 million to states, local governments, tribes and territories to design voluntary action plans that incorporate a variety of measures to reduce emissions from across their economies.
Peach State Voluntary Emission Reduction Plan and Peach State Voluntary Emission Reduction Studies
Phase 2 Implementation provided a total of $4.6 billion to implement reduction programs, policies, projects and measures collectively referred to as reduction measures, or “measures” from the plans developed in Phase 1.
In Phase 2, EPA announced 25 selected applications for over $4.3 billion in grants. Phase 2 recipients are listed here.
