Open Records Requests
Coming March 30, 2026
The Environmental Protection Division will transition to a new GORA system on March 30th, 2026, and will no longer accept open records requests through existing email links. Members of the public, media, and other stakeholders will be required to submit requests through the new Open Records Request Portal, which will be accessible on the Environmental Protection Division website under eServices.
Under the Georgia Open Records Act, all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law. To submit a Georgia Open Records Act request or make an appointment for file review, please email the contacts below.
Public Notices and Hearings
Public participation is an integral part of Georgia's environmental programs. Many of our permitting and enforcement actions, and all of our regulations, go through a formal public notice and comment period, open to all citizens that give them the ability to influence agency decisions before they are finalized.
