If you are a contractor who performs lead-based paint inspections, risk assessments, or abatement of lead-based paint, then you and your firm are required to be both a
Georgia-Certified Lead Services Firm AND
Georgia-Certified Worker, Supervisor, Inspector, Risk Assessor, or Project Designer.

To become a Georgia-Certified Lead Services Firm refer to the GEOS Lead Firm Application Guide .
LEAD SERVICES WORKER, SUPERVISOR, INSPECTIOR, RISK ASSESSOR, OR PROJECT DESIGNER
To become a Georgia-Certified Worker, Supervisor, Inspector, Risk Assessor, or Project Designer, you will need to take training from a Georgia Accredited Lead Abatement Training Provider and pass a third-party exam. Lastly, submit an application to Georgia EPD to receive your certification.

NOTIFICATIONS
Once you are certified, it is required that you submit a Notice to Proceed for each project.
If you want to provide training for RRP or lead-based paint activities in Georgia, your firm is required to be a Georgia-Accredited Training Provider. Applications for Renovation or Lead-Based Paint Discipline Training Providers, as well as Pre- and Post-Training Notifications are available through GEOS.
