Georgia's Watershed Based Plans Addressing Nonpoint Source Pollution
Watershed-based plans are a holistic approach to addressing nonpoint source pollution at a smaller watershed level (usually at a 10- and 12-digit hydrologic unit level). Over the past several years, GAEPD has utilized funding under Section 106, 604(b), and 319(h) or Seed Grant to develop watershed-based plans that meet USEPA’s Nine Elements of Watershed Planning. These plans can be used to identify management practices for implementation within a watershed and to secure funding under the competitive Section 319(h) Nonpoint Source Implementation Grant. This list only contains plans that have been funded by GAEPD under the former TMDL Implementation Program and 319(h) Grant.
