Getting Started with GEOS

In December 2014, the Georgia EPD Online System (GEOS) was introduced as the portal for online electronic permit applications for NPDES Municipal Wastewater Discharge Permits and Title V Air Quality Permits.  Currently online permits include NPDES Municipal Wastewater Discharge Permits, Title V Air Quality Permits, Scrap Tire Waste Reduction, Scrap Tire Compliance, Brownfields, Lead Based Paint and Asbestos, and Trust Fund and Fee Management. To assist users as they begin using the new GEOS portal, training material is being provided on this site.  Below there are links to several detailed Reference Guides and Quick Guides to help users learn what they need to know to begin using GEOS.  You may also view the Documents page on this site to find all of this material where you can filter by Quick Guides or detailed Reference Guides. The links below that begin with "Quick Guide" are abbreviated versions of key sections from the GEOS Complete Reference Guide. They are intended to provide quick overviews to help you get the information that you are seeking.  If they do not provide enough information, please refer to Georgia EPD Online System (GEOS) Technical Assistance or seek help using the Contact Us page.
