Municipal stormwater discharges are regulated through the NPDES Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permits. GA EPD has issued Phase I permit requirements that apply to Large and Medium MS4s and Phase II permit requirements that apply to Small MS4s. Permit information and resources are available below.

 

Draft Phase I Medium MS4 Permit Modification for Augusta-Richmond County (GAS000200)

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), Watershed Protection Branch, is proposing the modification of NPDES Permit No. GAS000200, authorizing stormwater discharges from Augusta-Richmond County to the waters of the State of Georgia. Phase I Large MS4 Permit Application Form

Phase I Large MS4 permittees are required to submit a Download this doc file. permit reapplication form . This form must be completed and submitted to EPD at least 180 days prior to the expiration date of the 2019 Phase I Large MS4 permit. The 2019 Phase I Large MS4 permit is due to expire on June 10, 2024. Please review Section 5.10 (Signatory Requirements) of the Permit to ensure that the appropriate official signs the permit application.

Stakeholder Draft Phase I Large MS4 Permit Template

Phase II MS4 Notice of Intent Form

Phase II MS4 permittees are required to submit a Download this doc file. 2022 Notice of Intent (NOI) form . This form must be completed and submitted to EPD at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of the 2017 Phase II Small MS4 permit. The 2017 Phase II Small MS4 permit is due to expire on December 5, 2022. Please review Section 6.10 (Signatory Requirements) of the Permit to ensure that the appropriate official signs the NOI.
