Draft Exceptional Event Demonstrations for the 2024 Annual PM2.5 NAAQS for the Years 2022-2024
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) announces its intent to submit final Exceptional Event Demonstrations to the U.S Environmental Protection Agency for 104 event days. Georgia EPD is required to post draft Exceptional Event Demonstrations for a 30-day public comment period as part of the exceptional event regulations (72 FR at 13560).

Final Exceptional Event Demonstrations for the 2024 Annual PM2.5 NAAQS for the Years 2021-2023 (Submitted February 7, 2025)
On December 20, 2024, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) posted 129 draft Exceptional Event Demonstrations for a 30-day public comment period as required by the Exceptional Events Rule (72 FR at 13560). On February 7, 2025, Georgia EPD submitted 129 final Exceptional Event Demonstrations to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for approval. Georgia EPD has addressed all comments that were received in the final submittal.
